Now that you are in My family and call me 'Friend', guard against taking Me for granted as human friends often do.  Don't ever slip into thinking of Me as just your friend. My dear child, do you realize how big I am?  Do you realize how great I am?

Always remember that I am also the One who scooped out the ocean beds.  I flung the stars from My fingertips and hung the earth on nothing.  I put the birds in the air and the fish in the sea, and it is by the Word of My power that the entire universe is upheld and kept in motion.

When you first responded to Me, you were awed by Who I am and what I am and what I am willing to do for you.  How I longed for the day that you would develop a personal relationship with Me!  And now you have!

What a thrill it is to fellowship with you!  But be on guard, My child!  Never forget all that I am and all that I am capable of doing!  Always remember that I am the great I Am, and I am always ready to help you.

Don't try to do things in your own strength, for I am your strength.  Lean not on your own understanding.  Lean on Me!  Don't carry your burdens.  Cast them on Me.  Don't live in fear, because I have given you the truth, and I have set you free.

Don't live in poverty, for I am your source, and I supply all of your need according to My riches and glory.  Don't live in sickness and poor health, for I wish above all things that you would prosper and be in health, even as your soul prospers.

Now your soul will prosper.  Therefore, your body will prosper too.  Live the abundant life right now!  You are with the redeemed.  I have redeemed you from sin, sickness, and disease.  My blood has washed away all of your sins.  You are forgiven.

By the stripes My Son bore on His back, you are healed.  Be healed now in Jesus' Name.

YOU ASK WHY?

You ask why I follow this Jesus?
Why I love Him the way I do?
When the world's turned away from His teachings
And the people who serve Him are few.
It's not the rewards I'm after
Or gifts that I hope to receive
It's the Presence that calls for commitment
It's the Spirit I trust and believe.
The Lord doesn't shelter His faithful
Or spare them all suffering and pain,
Like everyone else I have burdens,
And walk through my share of rain.
Yet He gives me a plan and a purpose,
And that joy only Christians have known,
I never know what comes tomorrow,
But I do know I'm never alone.
It's the love always there when you need it;
It's the words that redeem and inspire,
It's the longing to ever be with Him
That burns in my heart like fire.
So you ask why I love my Lord Jesus?
Well, friend, that's so easy to see,
But the one thing that fills me with wonder is
Why Jesus loves someone like me.
